The Team members may vary but will always include the client, and may include family member(s), residential support staff, educational staff, day program staff, etc. There is a huge emphasis on collaboration and teamwork during the process of implementing ABA Services and the rewards and payoff of the partnership are invaluable.

Behavior Analysts use methods that have been proven to work to help teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors. Data is collected on the behaviors of interest daily in order to see what is working, and what may need revision. Looking at the function of challenging behaviors and then teaching replacement behaviors for the individual, as well as proactive and reactive strategies for team members, helps to maintain the same function--but in a socially acceptable way. ABA can work for anyone! The approach is always tailored to each individual’s needs. And the goal is to always improve the client’s well-being with the most applied, effective, and valid methods available.

We currently use Zoom to host meetings, trainings, and other online business requests. Currently, face-to-face services are provided to counties in the Bay Area of California, however with the use of technology, we can potentially provide services to other areas, states, and nationwide too! A Board Certified Behavior Analyst must have completed specific coursework at either a Master's level (BCBA) or Doctoral level (BCBA-D). Additionally, completion of supervision hours to be acquired in the field, and passing of a National Exam are required. Ongoing Continuing Education Units are required to maintain certification. Board Certified Behavior Analysts are overseen by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB). Behavior Analysts comply with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
